Henry Driver is a digital artist and game developer based in Suffolk, who primarily focuses on climate change and its devastating effects on our planet. Silhouette is an ambitious virtual environmental game about planting trees, and restoring habitats, to fund real world tree planting. Still a work in progress, under Henry’s expert direction, students and alumni from West Suffolk College and University have shaped this game into a pertinent statement, rejecting industrialisation and destruction, and instead embracing preservation and conservation.
Promoted and published by the leading publisher Future Friends Games, who released last year’s BAFTA Game of the Year.
Artist, Jevan Watkins-Jones, led a ‘Silhouette’ inspired workshop for a group of over twenty 70-95 year olds as part of our Top Time sessions. The group explored leaf mould and roots, using charcoal, soil and their fingers to make intricate patterns from observational studies, with a focus on tree-planting and preservation.
