We were delighted to provide four activity days for 15 young people aged 7-14yrs at the beginning of August, inspired by our contemporary textile exhibition, Thread Count.
Workshops from local artists using clay, textile, yoga, improv acting, and dance saw Thread Count come alive with characters, sound and imagination.
Thank you to all the families who joined us and to our workshop leaders: Jo King, Ellie Rodwell, Rebecca Riess, Claire Hardaker, Lizzie Musson, Suffolk Contemporary Dance, Lucy fennell and assisting staff, we had a fun and productive few days.
“The Art Station have provided Holiday activity and food programmes for several windows now and are becoming well known for the quality of the provision. Young people have a very fun time and parents are delighted to have the opportunity for their child to attend such a programme. It offers lots of variety which is so key for young people’s activities and it serves the local area well.”
