Open Call! Artist Residency

We are pleased to offer a 4 week residency in partnership with Young Artists In Suffolk.
This residency is open to artists aged 22–30 with a strong connection to Suffolk and supports the development of their creative practice through mentorship and meaningful engagement with our vibrant local artist network.

Each resident artist will be paired with an experienced mentor, selected to align with their individual interests and practice. Through regular one-to-one sessions, group discussions, and informal critiques, mentors will provide guidance, challenge ideas, and help artists deepen their engagement with the theme of environment. This supportive framework is designed to foster experimentation, reflection, and growth in a focused yet nurturing environment.

Artists will be invited to keep a journal throughout their residency—documenting thoughts, processes, observations, and reflections. This journaling will serve both as a tool for personal development and as a way to track the evolution of their ideas.

The residency follows our major summer group exhibition and offers artists the opportunity to take inspiration from our garden setting and environmental ethos as they develop new directions in their work.

This is a paid residency with each artist receiving £1200 to cover studio time, materials, travel and resources!
