Sculptor, Jo Chapman will be showing you how to make relief tiles, using air dry clay in all shapes and sizes. Experiment with various different fabrics and textures and even weave with the clay to create your own unique tile. The workshop will be suitable for both adults and children.

Liz is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses research, sculpture, installation, physical computing, film and community.  ‘I explore physical and digital making to communicate diverse narratives about the world we live in from the ground beneath our feet to the stars above, connecting artistic practice with scientific data’. Liz will be running a felt soap workshop suitable for all ages and abilities.

Kate Rolfe – Children’s Book Illustration

Meet award-winning author-illustrator Kate Rolfe and get to know her friends, Wolf and Bear! Kate will read us a story and have us all howling along with Wolf. Then she will show us all how to draw the two characters of Wolf and Bear and we will talk about how you can tell what they are feeling just by how we choose to draw their face. Kate will then lead us in another creative drawing activity inspired by the themes in the story of friendship, empathy, and big emotions. Finally, Kate will be happy to sign your copy of Wolf and Bear for you to take home, and you can ask her everything you have ever wanted to know about making your own books and stories!

Christian Aldridge – Life Drawing

Christian Aldridge will be running life drawing workshops in the Bank Garden. Sessions will run from 11-12.30pm, 1-2.30pm and 3-4.30pm. Come, drop in and have a go, all ages and abilities welcome. Materials provided.

Ian Brownlie – Fun family music session

Ian is an experienced musician, artist and educator. He is an associate artist at the Sainsbury Centre of Visual Arts, Norwich, and works with people of all ages. Join Ian in The Old Bank Garden, and take part in a fun and accessible music session. Take a journey into sound. Come along, make some joyous noise!

Jevan Watkins-Jones – Environmental Workshop 

Jevan is an artist and gardener whose practice is focussed on drawing, people, animals, and plants. He is currently artist in residence in The Art Station’s Old Bank Garden, and will be exploring new ways of creatively connecting with the beautiful flora and fauna. Workshop for all ages.
