Lily Hammond – Collage Plant Paper Cuts

Lily Hammond, aka Uwu studio, is an award winning illustrator and designer, who works with bold and vibrant patterns and colours. Lily has worked on a diverse range of projects – from a Black History Month commission for the BBC, to running an independent shop in Ipswich. Lily will be showing you how to make beautiful painted, collage paper cuts inspired by flowers and plants.

Sculptor, Jo Chapman will be showing you how to make relief tiles, using air dry clay in all shapes and sizes. Experiment with various different fabrics and textures and even weave with the clay to create your own unique tile. The workshop will be suitable for both adults and children.

Kate Rolfe – Children’s Book Illustration

Meet award-winning author-illustrator Kate Rolfe and get to know her friends, Wolf and Bear! Kate will read us a story and have us all howling along with Wolf. Then she will show us all how to draw the two characters of Wolf and Bear and we will talk about how you can tell what they are feeling just by how we choose to draw their face. Kate will then lead us in another creative drawing activity inspired by the themes in the story of friendship, empathy, and big emotions. Finally, Kate will be happy to sign your copy of Wolf and Bear for you to take home, and you can ask her everything you have ever wanted to know about making your own books and stories!
