Coding and Technology Sessions with CCC – 6 Week Course

Interested in robots and computer games? Want to learn more about how they work and have a go at using computer tech in creative ways? Sign up for a 6 week course delivered by Creative Computer Club, teaching a variety of engaging coding and tech skills for children and young people!

For each course Creative Computing Club will explore a given theme, from game design to robotics, electronics to web design, taking them from the beginning to build their confidence and skills. The first course will be using M.I.T.’s Processing computer language to build simple apps and teach them the fundamentals of computer programming.

6 x Thursdays: 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th May & 2nd June 2022

Sessions each day are split by age group:

  • 4.30pm – Ages 8-12 years (parent and child session*)
  • 5.30pm – Ages 8-12 years (parent and child session*)
  • 6.30pm – Ages 12-16 years

*Children can come unaccompanied to 8-12 year old sessions with written parent approval. If you are a parent/carer who will be attending you only need to book a place for your child not yourself as well.

No experience or equipment needed to participate.

Course fee: £12 per session – sign ups are very welcome at any point, we’ll adjust the course fee each week – or get in touch if there are specific dates you’d like to attend.

Since 2012 the Creative Computing Club CIC has worked with several thousand young people across Suffolk, helping them to engage in worthwhile and inspiring technology-based activities. Through its informal and non-competitive environment, it has allowed them to gain confidence and qualifications in areas that interest them the most while being relevant to today’s tech sector needs.
